Destination: Hanoi – Vu Linh – Bac Ha – Ha Giang – Dong Van – Bao Lac – Ba Be
Day 1: Motorcycle tour Hanoi – Vu Linh (180 km, 6 hours riding). (Lunch, Dinner, Guide)
This morning, you will spend 30 minutes for the guide to do briefing about the trip and how to ride in Vietnam also to get used to with the bike before starting your trip to Thac Ba Lake which has an area of 23,400 ha and 1,331 islands and hills with diverse ecological environments. The water in the lake is blue and clear, and imprinted with the reflections of the surrounding ancient forest. On arrival to Vu Linh ethnic village of Dao minority by the side of the lake, it is your time to do leisure walk to explore this beautiful village and people life.
Tonight, the welcome is exceptional with a lot of local rice-wine from the hosts is surely one of the highlights of the trip. You stay overnight in a homestay.
Day 2: Motorcycle tour Vu Linh – Bac Ha (180 km, 6 hours riding). (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Guide)
After breakfast, you will keep going to Bac Ha. You will have a beautiful ride today along Thac Ba lake, during the way, you will have chances to visit many roadside ethnic villages and markets. Today, you will spend the night in Bac Ha.
Thac Ba Lake – This artificial lake has an area of 23,400 ha and 1,331 islands and hills with diverse ecological environments. The water in the lake is blue and clear, and imprinted with the reflections of the surrounding ancient forest. The thousands of hills and islands feature caves such as the Hum, Cau Cuoi and Bach Xa. The Thac Ba Temple always draws visitors. Thac Ba Lake is one of the best places for off road motorbike tour north Vietnam.
Day 3: Motorcycle tour Bac Ha – Ha Giang (200 km, 6 hours riding). (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Guide)
After breakfast, you will visit lively and colorful market in Bac Ha, one of the most interesting ethnic markets in Vietnam and possibly everywhere in South East Asia: “Sunday is market day in Bac Ha, which is the occasion for the various local ethnics to gather in huge crowds to exchange the last news, gossip, shop, and eat a copious lunch. It was visibly a festive. You will then continue your trip to Ha Giang via Xin Ma and Hoang Su Phi. The road is very beautiful with many curves. You will stay overnight in Ha Giang.
Bac Ha has one of the most interesting ethnic markets in Vietnam and possibly everywhere in South East Asia: “Sunday is market day in Bac Ha, which is the occasion for the various local ethnics to gather in huge crowds to exchange the last news, gossip, shop, and eat a copious lunch. Day 4: Motorcycle tour Ha Giang – Dong Van (145 km, 5 hours riding). (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Guide)
Today ride must be highlights of the trip and one of the most beautiful parts for doing Vietnam Motorcycle Tours as you will visit one of the most remote land in Vietnam where are special with many ethnic groups with their unique cultures and imposing mountains – the “Heaven Gate” in Quan Ba, Rock Plateau and the Vuong palace in Dong Van. Day 5: Motorcycle tour Dong Van – Bao Lac (100 km, 4 hours riding). (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Guide)
After breakfast, let spend your time to visit Dong Van street and if it falls on Sunday, you will have great opportunity to visit the weekly market of Dong Van where gathers many ethnic groups and their local products. The market is like a festival for the local to enjoy the time with friends, talking, drinking…Continue to Bao Lac via Meo Vac and the highlight will be the conquering the Ma Phi Leng pass. Upon arrival, check in and stay in a guesthouse in Bao Lac.
Day 6: Motorcycle tour Bao Lac – Ba Be Lake ~ 150 km. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Guide)
Today, you will continue to Babe lake & national park where the landscape is amazing and Babe Lakethe homestay is another unique experience Babe Lake. Upon your arrival, you are free at leisure to do the boat trip (own expense) or walk to explore the village of the Tay people. You will stay overnight in homestay of a Tay family.
Ba Be is Vietnam’s largest natural lake and is now the centrepiece of an extensive National Park. The park and the surrounding area is limestone country, so lakes, waterfalls, caves and unusual rock formations abound. The whole area is richly forested and home to many ethnic minority communities. It is also one of the best places for off-road motorbike tour in the North of Vietnam.
Day 7: Motorcycle tour Ba Be Lake – Hanoi (230 km, 7 hours riding). (Breakfast, Lunch, Guide)
